Permanent Full-Time Receptionist


  • Perform all receptionist duties and activities for incoming calls and greeting all visitors and clientele in a professional manner

  • Maintain and monitor voice message system

  • Maintain and monitor in/out board as well as sign in/out sheet

  • Maintain and monitor the office equipment and order supplies

  • Record & log incoming and outgoing mail and perform mailroom functions through distribution of incoming/outgoing mail as required

  • Provide support services to Mnaamodzawin Health Services Inc. & Noojmowin Teg Health Centre employees in areas of typing, photocopying, ordering supplies, etc.

  • Identify efficient and effective procedures that relate to the improvement of office administration

  • Ensuring all client information, personnel matters and other information are deemed confidential


  • Office Management/Business Administration and/or Medical Secretarial Certificate or three years relevant experience, in a health or office setting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Ojibway culture, language and traditions is an asset

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Community Health Nurse – Permanent Full Time


The Community Health Nurse (CHN) will deliver comprehensive community health nursing services in 5 First Nation communities, in collaboration with an interprofessional health care team. Through consultation, clinical practice, leadership, and by facilitating health promotion and disease prevention, the CHN provides care utilizing in-depth nursing knowledge and skills, clinical expertise and advanced judgment. The CHN will utilize a primary health care approach to address overall health needs in Indigenous communities. The successful candidate shall possess;

  • Minimum of three years related experience as a Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing, currently registered with College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing

  • Current Ontario Driver’s License (and vehicle)

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

Temporary Part-Time Custodian (6 hours/shift) 3 Days/Week




  • Perform general preventative facility maintenance and repair duties
  • General daily cleaning of facility
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance, cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Provide coverage in the absence of janitor
  • Seasonal Maintenance ie: shovelling & clearing entrance and walkways, watering plants &              vegetable gardens
  • Reporting equipment deficiencies to supervisor
  • Ordering supplies as required
  • Qualifications:
  • One to three years’ general maintenance and cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS with certification (or option to obtain within 3 months)
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety
  • Current Ontario Driver’s License (and vehicle)
  • Current CPR, First Aid Certification (or option to obtain within 3 months)

Personal Support Worker

Casual or Part Time

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing care that contributes to the quality of life of individuals who live at home by promoting their independence; dignity; social; emotional and physical well-being; mobility; personal appearance; comfort and safety so that they may remain and participate within their community.

The successful applicant must be willing to work flexible hours (possible evenings and/or weekends) and may provide services to all five First Nation communities.

(Aundeck Omni Kaning, Sheguiandah, Sheshegwaning, Whitefish River and Zhiibaahaasing)


1. Provide personal support services based on the client personal care or home management needs.

2. Provide assistance to the Long-Term Care Program with the provision of regular Diners’ Club and Meals On Wheels program, Adult Day programming and may assist/provide generic transportation services for own client caseload; friendly visits and social safety.

3. Provide respite services working flexible hours.

4. Works collaboratively with health care providers in providing holistic care that focuses on achieving and maintaining optimal health.

5. Submission of timely required documentation based on scheduled basis to immediate supervisor.

6. May assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledgeable and respectful of Anishinaabe customs, culture and language

  • A Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized college with a minimum of (2) years community work experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Current and Clear CPIC

  • Valid ‘G’ driver’s license and a vehicle.

  • Salary range based on qualifications and approved salary grid.
