Healthy Family Support Program
The Healthy Family Support Program provides free, voluntary support for expecting parents and families with infants and young children from birth to age six. The program promotes healthy pregnancy, child development, parenting confidence and strong family connections.
Program Goals
- Support pregnant women and families with infants and young children so children can reach their fullest developmental and lifetime potential
- Improve pregnancy outcomes and child health through awareness of healthy choices
- Help parents build skills and confidence while connecting families with community resources and supports

- Preparation for parenting
- Partner in Parenting visits
- Breastfeeding support and assistance
- Baby massage
- Car seat clinics
- Learn and play activities
- Screening and assessment for risks to healthy child development
- Referrals, service coordination and connections to community resources
- Community education and family activities
Healthy Babies, Healthy Children
Healthy Babies, Healthy Children supports mothers and families with young children up to age six. Families receive information and support about parenting, opportunities to socialize and learn with other families, and help connecting with services and resources in their communities.
Who Can Participate
The program is available to eligible expectant mothers and parents or guardians of children from birth to age six who are members of the participating First Nations. Self-referrals are welcome.
